Life at the MFM Citadel of Deliverance

A praying people. A delivered people.

We are MFM Citadel of Deliverance, Manchester — a branch of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, the worldwide fellowship founded by Dr. D.K. Olukoya. If you've been looking for a Pentecostal church in Manchester where prayer is taken seriously and the Word is preached without apology, you've found the door.

MFM is known for four things, and we hold all four here in MFM Citadel of Deliverance: aggressive prayer, deliverance, holiness within and without, and the unedited Word of God. That's not a slogan on a wall. It's what happens in this room on a Sunday morning and at 11:00pm on a Tuesday night.

If some of that language is new to you, don't worry. Nobody here will expect you to keep up. Sit at the back, watch how we pray, and take as long as you need.

Sundays · 10:00am

Worship & the Word

Spirit-filled worship, fervent prayer, and teaching from the Bible that's built to survive your Monday morning. Children's church runs alongside.

Mondays · 11:00pm

Ministers' Prayer Meeting

Our workers and ministers gather online to pray for the church, the city, and every name on our list. Held virtually, 11:00pm–12:00am.

Tuesdays · 11:00pm

Prayer Vigil

When the city sleeps, we pray. Two hours of night prayer for breakthrough, deliverance, and the strengthening of the saints. 11:00pm–1:00am.

What we're known for

Fire in our faith. Warmth in our welcome.

Four things shape everything we do at MFM Citadel of Deliverance, Manchester.

Pillar One

Aggressive prayer

We pray like it matters, because it does. Loud, specific, scriptural, and persistent. You'll hear a room full of people calling on God at the same time — one of the first things visitors notice, and one of the first things they miss when they're away.

Pillar Two

Deliverance

We believe there is no chain the name of Jesus cannot break. Deliverance ministry sits at the heart of MFM worldwide, and at the heart of this branch — handled with scripture, with prayer, and with care for the person in front of us.

Pillar Three

Holiness within and without

We take seriously the call to live clean before God — in private and in public. Not as a performance, and not as a burden, but as the ordinary shape of a life that has been set free.

Pillar Four

The Word of God

The Bible is our foundation. Every sermon, every prayer point, every counselling conversation goes back to it.

Carrying something heavy?

You don't have to wait until Sunday. Call our prayer and counselling line or send us a prayer request, and a member of our prayer team will stand with you — in confidence, with no judgement, and no pressure to explain more than you want to. We won't promise you an outcome. We will promise you this: someone will pray with you.

New here? We've saved you a seat.

Tell us you're coming and someone from our welcome team will be watching for you at the door. No forms on the day, no standing up in front of everyone, no being singled out — just a friendly face who knows your name before you walk in.

Our Statement of Belief

We hold to the Statement of Belief of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries worldwide:

  • The Scriptures — the inspired Word of God and the sole foundation of our faith and fellowship.
  • One true God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • Mankind's fall, and redemption made possible only through the blood of Jesus Christ.
  • Salvation through the redeeming work of Christ and the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit — with sanctification as separation from all that is evil.
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit.
  • Restitution for past wrongs, wherever possible.
  • The ordinances of the Church: the Lord's Supper and water baptism.
  • The Church universal — both visible and invisible.
  • A ministry divinely called and scripturally ordained.
  • The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, ushering believers into the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
  • The millennial reign of Christ.
  • The final judgement.
  • The new Heaven and the new Earth.

First time? Start here

Your first Sunday, sorted.

Walking into a church you've never been to before is a big thing — bigger than most churches remember. So here's exactly what happens, before you have to decide anything.

The service

Worship, the Word & prayer

About three hours: vibrant praise, a season of prayer, and teaching straight from the Bible. Some of the prayer is loud and everyone prays at once — that's normal here, and nobody will mind if you'd rather listen.

Your children

Safe, structured, looked after

Children's church runs during the main service with our DBS-checked children's team. You'll sign your child in on arrival and sign them out yourself at the end — nobody else can collect them. Come and see the room first if you'd like to.

The pressure

There isn't any

You won't be asked to stand up, introduce yourself, give money, or come to the front. Sit at the back, keep your coat on, leave early if you need to. You set the pace.

The practical bits

What do I wear? Whatever you own. You'll see suits and you'll see trainers.

What time should I arrive? Anywhere from 9:45am. Doors are open before the service starts.

Will I have to give money? No. There's an offering during the service and you are free to let it pass you by.

Do I need to be a Christian? No. Come as you are — searching, doubting, or somewhere in between.

How long is it? 10:00am to around 1:00pm.

Let us know you're coming

Takes 30 seconds. We'll only use this to welcome you.

We only use your details to welcome you and respond to your message. See our privacy policy.

What we collect and why

Welcome & contact forms: your name, contact details, and anything you choose to tell us — used only to welcome you, respond to your message, and arrange the support you asked for.

Prayer requests: handled in confidence by our prayer team. Because a prayer request may reveal your religious beliefs or other sensitive matters, we treat this information with extra care and only use it for the purpose of praying with and supporting you.

Newsletter or updates (if you opt in): your name and email, used only to send church updates. You can unsubscribe at any time and we will never pre-tick a consent box.

Our lawful basis

We process your information based on your consent, and — as a religious organisation — for our legitimate church activities in relation to members and people in regular contact with us, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we share it with

Nobody, for marketing — ever. Your details are seen only by the church team who need them (e.g. the welcome team or prayer team). Our website and forms are operated using trusted service providers who store data securely on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Only as long as needed for the purpose you shared it — for example, welcome form details are deleted once no longer needed. You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request a copy of your data, correct it, restrict its use, or ask us to erase it. Email info@mfmcitadel.org.uk and we will respond promptly. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Our website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's details online. Information about children attending children's church is collected in person from parents or guardians under our safeguarding procedures.
